Clients working with SDA will have unique access to our exceptional studio musicians, drawn from the very best orchestras in Scotland and the United Kingdom. The musicians contracted by SDA perform together at the very highest level day in, day out, creating an instantly crisp and rhythmically tight ensemble, with an immediate homogeneity that is difficult to achieve quickly with some ‘pick-up’ session groups. For clients, this means significantly faster results delivered at the very highest level, and allows for more productivity during valuable session time.

SDA musicians are extremely flexible, and equally at home playing Mahler, Mozart, film, television, game soundtracks, commercial pop and world music all with the same professionalism, skill and dedication. SDA also has access to skilled vocalists and established groups such as the RSNO Chorus, a symphonic choral group with a long history dating back to 1844, who have featured on soundtrack recordings for Varese Sarabande.

In addition to orchestral and session musicians, SDA can offer contracting services for world class conductors, soloists and vocalists thanks to well-developed relationships with major artists and management agencies.

SDA can also contract non-orchestral instrumentalists for clients, such as world/ethnic performers, electro-acoustic and jazz/commercial pop/light music, from the UK’s vibrant music scene.
